The debate is expected to be a lively and compelling discussion from what could be mildly termed, ‘very different perspectives’, as five of the leading global hacking experts discuss the threats that are faced from hackers and how to defend yourselves against them. Jon Collins, Service Director at Freeform Dynamics and an active industry analyst, has worked for IDC, Bloor Research, Quocirca and Macehiter Ward-Dutton. He is a widely published author and has acted as an advisor to leading vendors including Cisco, EMC, IBM and Microsoft; and to large IT user organisations in the Government, Telecommunications and Financial Services sectors. Pete Wood founded First Base Technologies in 1989 as a vendor-independent consultancy. Peter has hands-on technical involvement in the firm on a daily basis, working in areas as diverse as penetration testing, social engineering and skills transfer. He also leads regular technical seminars on ethical hacking techniques and Internet security. He is lead consultant for on-site penetration testing. Pete appeared in the BBC1 Documentary ID Fraud: They Stole My Life. Carlos C Solari is the ex Chief Information Officer for the Executive Office of the President – the White House and is now VP Security Solutions at Alcatel-Lucent. Carlos brings extensive experience in the field of information systems security; with over 25 years in various government and private industry positions, including being an officer in the U.S. Army and as a senior executive with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.In addition to the keynote programme, there are also over 60 FREE seminar sessions split into business and technical streams which explore the key issues facing organisations today and the technologies available to address them.
