The link below pulls up the first one, # 0. www.youtube.com/watc… In the last Byte several of you have chided me, and rightfully so, for leaving out a direct link to a donate button for those who wanted to contribute to the latest need for support. Since this is very likely the last time such a request will be made, some of you wanted to take advantage of that. Understood. The omission occurred because this was only the second time in six years that I asked the list for money, the first being a few weeks ago, so I’ve forgotten how to do it properly. In my defense I can say I assumed (which, let’s remember, always begins with an “ass”) that all of you would know donate buttons could be found on the pages of the Starchild website. So for those still interested in donating, please click on the link below. Other than those two pieces of unfinished business, I’m sure you all can imagine how surreal the past week has been for those who have put as much as 11 years of heart and soul into the quest for the truth about the Starchild. Now, after an incredibly difficult grind, we all find ourselves confronted with that truth, and my feelings echo the feelings expressed by many of the hundreds who have written to offer their thanks and congratulations. Most of you have been simply joyous and grateful that the wait is finally over, and so are we. However, many others have expressed feelings of Kafkaesque apprehension. Those are waiting for something bad to happen as a result of it….waiting for the bottom to drop out in some way. I can empathize with that feeling, but I want to try to put your minds at ease if I can. “They” (and we all presume we know who “they” are) have had 11 years to stop me, and thus far they haven’t. I have no idea why. Some people think it’s the right time for them to “come clean,” so to speak, which they understand, so the Starchild is a perfect, scientifically verifiable way to announce it. That may well be true. But whatever the case, all that counts is this: so far, so good….. Others have suggested we should not have announced our results at a such a preliminary stage. They feel we should have waited until we have all of our proof accumulated and are ready to overwhelm critics by going on 60 Minutes or some other high-profile venue. I’m sure that in the next few weeks we’ll do a high-profile announcement, but not until we decide we are ready to come forward with enough evidence to squelch as many critics as possible. I am a son of the Deep South, and we have a saying that any of us, male or female, should always “dance with the one that brung you.” Well, all of YOU have brung us this far, so you’re the ones I’m going to dance with, not the gang on 60 Minutes or anyone like that.
