DONALD FINDLAY QC TO DEFEND ANTI-PAEDOPHILE CAMPAIGNERThe campaign to seek Justice for Hollie Greig received an enormous boost today when well known senior advocate DONALD FINDLAY QC agreed to act as Senior Counsel for ROBERT GREEN in his trial for Breach of the Peace. Mr Green (64) from Warrington, is leading a campaign for a full investigation into allegations made by Hollie Greig, a young woman with Downs Syndrome, who claims that she, and other children, were systematically abused over a 14 year period by a gang of paedophiles in Aberdeen. Hollie has been awarded £13,500 from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority in spite of the fact that none of her alleged abusers have ever been arrested or charged.Mr Green was arrested in Aberdeen on February 12th 2010 as he prepared to distribute leaflets about Hollie’s case. No trial date has been set and all court hearings to date have been held “in camera” ie closed to the public. His bail conditions require him to report to his local police station twice per week and prevent him from entering Aberdeenshire. Due to the highly complex nature of the case Mr Green has been awarded Legal Aid to fund both a Senior and Junior Counsel.Mr Green said “I am delighted that Donald Findlay will be leading my defence team.
