A couple of people have posted the Ed Snowden “Solar Flare Killshot” stories and the latest “asteroid threat” – here’s what I posted on Facebook about it. As usual, if these stories “come true”, the black world folks that have all the exotic tech. have much better “chances” than we do. i.e. there’s little you or I can do, so I generally ignore these stories, except to observe patterns. Sounds like more fear porn to me. This was from a recent NASA spaceweather update (no, I don’t totally trust them, but certain observations can be verified): QUIET SUN: Many readers are asking about a recent media report, which stated that a Carrington-class solar storm narrowly missed Earth two weeks ago. That report is inaccurate. Solar activity was low throughout July and remains low as August begins. Details at spaceweather.com. There are plenty of amateur solar observers too – although they wouldn’t necessarily detect energy surges. The whole issue of “giant solar flares” has been brought into focus more in the last 5-10 now that more sophisticated instrumentation is in use. Is the sun a “flare star”, which could randomly spit out a “super flare” which extinguishes life on earth? Some claim there is evidence of this having happened. Alleged Remote Viewer Ed Dames claimed it was going to happen during the life time of the space shuttle.
