Following me sending this around, someone sent back a critique. Here it is, followed by further thoughts I had on reading the plans more. It’s worth reading the patent which is at the end of the PDF plans document. Dear Andrew. Here is the original patent.     UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE. NIKOLA TESLA, OF NEIV YORK, N. Y. ELECTRIC GENERATOR. SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 511,916, dated January 2, 1894. Application filed August 19,1893. Serial No. 483,562. (No model.) To all whont it may concern.- Be it known that I, NIKOLA TESLA, a citizen of the United States, residing at New York,in the county and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Electric Generators, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the drawings accompanying and forming a part of the same. In an application of even date herewith, Serial No. $3,563, I have shown and described a form of engine invented by me, which, under the influence of an applied force such as the elastic tension of steam or a gas under pressure, yields an oscillation of constant period.   It is for a steam or pressurised gas powered electricity generator. Nothing strange here. How can any intelligent person say that Tesla meant it to generate electricity from thin air. He never said that about this machine. Conclusion. The people perpetrating these lies are either,    A trying to manipulate others for gain…con men. B. Not very smart and have not used their brains to check the evidence. C. Arrogant to think that a hundred years of intelligent scientists going over Tesla’s work to find something of value have missed some great secret mystery source of cosmic power. If it takes me five minutes to check that the machine is an engine for running a dynamo you can tell that there are a lot of gullible people in the New Age networks…from which I hold myself at as much distance as possible. You could have checked this one very easily.     The usual way out is they say that the invention is based on a patent and they have improved it….Yes and turned it into something it was never designed to do…more nonsense.    Thanks for the info – you could well be right, of course. The reason why I forwarded it was that it came from what I consider to be an informed source.   I have read through that PDF a bit more now and have mixed feelings really. Maybe it is intended to set people on a wild-goose chase, as I think you are implying.   Of course, the authors would probably argue that they know that the Tesla patent was for an “ordinary generator” – they have augmented it with capacitors and other components to create resonance effects.   Having studied the instructions closely, I noticed at least one thing that didn’t seem to be explain – there is a cylindrical coil which doesn’t seem to be used anywhere. Also, they mention the WITTS ministries, which I was asked to look into a few months ago for an article in “PULSE” magazine – it seems to be a strange organisation.   Perhaps I can circulate your comments and mine to the list (with or without your name, as you wish!) …   Thanks   Andrew
