In advanced Electronic Counter Measures and Electronic Counter Counter Measures systems, there is an interaction between all levels of stealth and countermeasure offensive and defensive techniques.  Most of what you read now is about systems like the F-111F, EF-111, F-15, EA-6B and F-14 aircraft. It’s quite dated now.  I worked one all the F-111 versions and F-15 versions.
With the advent of the F-117 and B2 and newer systems the Radar Homing and Warning (RHAW), Jammers (ALQ-99), ECM suits, and Infrared systems have been totally integrated with the interactive stealth coatings of the aircraft.

An electronic countermeasure (ECM) is an electrical or electronic device designed to trick or deceive radar, sonar or other detection systems, like infrared (IR) or lasers. It may be used both offensively and defensively to deny targeting information to an enemy. The system may make many separate targets appear to the enemy, or make the real target appear to disappear or move about randomly. It is used effectively to protect aircraft from guided missiles. Most air forcesuse ECM to protect their aircraft from attack. It has also been deployed by military ships and recently on some advanced tanks to fool laser/IR guided missiles. It is frequently coupled with stealth advances so that the ECM systems have an easier job. Offensive ECM often takes the form of jamming. Quasicrystals are found in certain metal alloys that tend to resist wear and corrosion, and are used in non-stick coatings, and for extremely low friction on advanced aircraft and Naval ships for example.
They also have high tensile strength, meaning high forces are required to stretch them to their breaking point.

Within the field of crystallography and solid state physics the discovery has produced a paradigm shift which is indeed a minor scientific revolution.
It was realized that quasicrystals had been investigated and observed earlier but until then the prevailing views about atomic structure of matter lead to their being explained away.
The physical properties of quasicrystals are still studied and new results are currently obtained. Since 2004 different research groups have reported evidence for quasicrystal ordering in liquids and polymers. The structure of quasicrystals is comprised of atoms that are arranged in nonoperiodic fashion. Quasicrystal structures show long-range order, but no translational periodicity. Quasicrystals are typically binary and ternary metallic alloys, often containing 60% – 70% aluminium. They present unique structural features, coupled with unusual combinations of physical properties. Some of the interesting properties of quasicrystals, such as low friction and “non-stick” character, involve surface phenomena. Studies have shown that quasicrystalline materials exhibit low coefficients of friction, are wear resistant, and are hard. In most proposed applications, QCs would be in the form of low dimensional solids-coatings, thin films, precipitates, or composites where the areas in quasicrystal research that have seen great advances in the past 10 years, each of these topics represent new horizons. If you use advanced stealth coatings that are radar absorbent, electro chromatic coatings that can change the visible and radar characteristics, and add quasicrystals for very low friction and low electrical conduction, then add graphene for greatly increased structural strengths and a vast reduction in weight you have a 90% reduction in weight of a aerospace vehicle, increased structural strength, vastly reduced friction, and a much reduced reduction in propulsion requirements to create a one stage to orbit vehicle. The combination of these exotic materials allows for total integration of avionics, astral navigation, satellite and quantum communications. Using the entire surface of the vehicle would allow for quadruple redundancy of systems with much reduced energy requirements and increased efficiency. With this vastly reduced weight, increased structural strength, and massive reduction of friction, it would not be necessary to even use gravity warping/reduction to have a one stage to orbit vehicle and the reentry heating problems would be minimized. Graphene also beats diamond in thermal conductivity. In fact, graphene now holds the record for conducting heat — it’s better than any other known material.  Graphene stretches up to 20 percent of its length. And yet it is also the stiffest known material — even stiffer than diamond.  “Another amazing thing about graphene is that you can see it. You can lay a sheet on a white piece of paper and actually see it. It is amazingly transparent, absorbing just 2.3 percent of light that lands on it, but if you have a blank sheet to compare it to, you can see that it is there.” That means you can see a single layer of atoms with your naked eye, if they’re graphene.  Graphene also has “the highest current density (a million times that of copper) at room temperature; the highest intrinsic mobility (100 times more than in silicon); and conducts electricity in the limit of no electrons”. Besides a new generation of VTOL-based UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles – remotely-controlled surveillance platforms, some of which may be disk-shaped), there are ongoing development and testing of electrochromatic panels as part of innovations relevant to “daytime-stealth” capabilities. The electrochromatic panels are comprised of thousands of tiny sensors that function as video-cameras that take images of background scenaries, transferring them to the other panels on the other side of the aircraft. This gives the illusion that the aircraft is almost transparent. What the ground observer sees is whatever background images behind (or above) the body of the aircraft that are transposed to the “observer’s” side of the body of the aircraft. For example, in a recent artist’s rendition of a proposed “Stealth Blimp” (POPULAR SCIENCE), one can see the stars from above (and behind) the blimp, giving it an illusion of being transparent, and making detection somewhat difficult. That an ongoing research, development and testing of such electrochromatic panels at locations such as at Groom Lake/AREA 51 may be taking place was first suggested in an article written by aviation writer, Bill Sweetman (POPULAR SCIENCE – May of 1997). Coincidentally, after that article (suggesting that Groom Lake/AREA 51 was still abuzz with various projects) appeared on POPULAR SCIENCE of May, 1997, the June, 1997 issue of POPULAR MECHANICS, in turn, strangely came out with an article by Jim Wilson suggesting that Groom Lake/AREA 51’s operations were transferred to Green River missile launch complex in Utah. This was the beginning of the false rumor that AREA 51 had moved to a new location in Utah. The Green River missile launch complex right now still appears to be an old, abandoned site, with nothing visible of any significance. (As far as Utah is concerned, attention should rather be focused on DUGWAY PROVING GROUNDS, where lots of innovative programs are ongoing, for example, leading-edge research on biological-chemical warfare programs). In the meantime, Groom Lake/AREA 51’s conglomerate complex is abuzz with new programs. This Gravitational Shielding Effect is related to recent discovery of quantum correlation between gravitational mass and inertial mass. According to the theory samples hung above the gas or the plasma should exhibit a weight decrease when the frequency of the electromagnetic field is decreased or when the intensity of the electromagnetic field is increased.
