Yes – these things do “get around” – and re-gurgitated. I remember watching a horizon documentary years ago about 2 competing asteroid deflection projects – one using nukes/bombs and one using a large lens to focus energy on to one side of an incoming rock to make it heat up, give off gas and hence, over several months years create enough force to deflect the asteroid… But of course, we are still kept in the dark about the state of technology available to people in charge…
