The same argument could be used against the Beatles ever existing – how could they become world class song-writers?!! They couldn’t even read music!! Etc. In my book ‘What Happens in Shakespeare’s King Lear’ I have a whole chapter of evidences as to Shakespeare being Shakespeare. Edward De Vere died in 1604 before Shakespeare’s last eight plays were written, and Francis Bacon’s style differs so much from Shakespeare’s. If I get time, I’ll post my findings on YouTube. I believe in checking the evidence – I looked at arguments against and arguments for. Arguments against are far more popular – but not as compelling. What I found was a countryman (not a city boy), someone who knew and named people from local towns, someone who used slang peculiar to Warwickshire, someone who was named as the author of the plays in many documents and by many famous people during his lifetime.
