I find it hard to believe that this pilot managed to “conceal” his mental illness. I imagine the occupational health policy of airlines wouldn’t allow this. And was there really no way for the captain to get back into the cockpit? Did he have to hammer on the door? Otherwise what’s to save a plane if one of the pilots had a heart attack and died? None of this makes sense.
