Ionic Wind Propelled Plane from MIT Lincoln Labs

Thanks to Mike for passing on this. It’s kind of interesting, but probably more “limited hangouts” – or just clever people not realising what is already known in the black world.

It is clearly very experimental and, of course, there is no mention of the work of Thomas Townsend Brown (although Brown, to my knowledge, didn’t demonstrate flight in the way that is shown above).

One thing I notices is that the “artist’s impression” is shown as the headline image and we only see the device from a distance in the video, so they are probably trying to limit what people can see in terms of how it is made.

Also, there is no mention of the Lifter experiments, which became quite well known in some circles starting around the turn of the millennium:

About half way through the video above, Naudin is seen with what looks like a free-flying version of his lifter, but it’s not clear if it is really tethered somehow.
