He was shot 8 times, 7 times in the head. Following his death, the police misled Jean Charles family and the public about his death.   To commemorate the day the family of Jean Charles will be holding a public vigil at Stockwell tube station and will be also be laying flowers at the station.   The family will also be a the station at 10.05 am to mark the exact time Jean was killed.   No Cover up- We demand justice   The Independent Police Complaints Commission has now concluded its investigation into Jean Charles’ killing and has compiled a report of its findings which is to be handed to the police and Crown Prosecution Service- but withheld from Jean Charles’ family   Six months on, Jean Charles’ family continue to await the truth about his death.   We call upon all communities to join Jean Charles’s family at the six-month commemoration in demanding that there is no cover up, that the report be made public and that all those responsible for his death are brought to justice. Your presence at this vigil is vital in publicly demonstrating that the police and British government must be held to account for this brutal death and to stop others like it ever happing again.   We hope to see you there.   Jean Charles de Menezes Family Campaign ————————
