I called it New On Earth (www.lightcode.com/ea…). Took me about 8 hours to build, and it allows anyone to see all quakes in different views in real time, and even see those closest to them. There are also google map views to show the real-time locations. You can open multiple pop ups and compare data between different quakes.   For example The data from newonearth shows that we have already had 45 quakes over 6.0 between January 1, 2010, and March 4, 2010. So in less than 2 months we’ve had more quakes over 6.0 than any time in USGS history (Highest ever was in 2004 and less than 40 quakes)!!!   See attached pdf doc for quakes in the past 2 months of 2010. For quakes that seem to have the same magnitude in the same location, notice that the depths are different. This is all data from the USGS, and it doesn’t paint a pretty picture.   Prior to 911 HAARP (a DARPA project) was never turned on for more than 3 to 30s at a time. After 911 the US went into DEFCON4 and HAARP was turned on to full power for 18 hours to communicate codes to deep sea submarines. HAARP has practically been in military mode ever since.   It will be interesting to see data on whale and dolphin beachings, since scientists have no clue what’s going on to this day. We can also look at data from hurricanes and storms.   I’m not pointing my complete finger at HAARP but I can only show the data and I’m not sure why the USGS would stop their public chart at 2008 and not included 2009, and 2010.   My plan is to further develop this app and allow people to subscribe to it with their mobile phones, and receive instant text messages after a quake, especially those near tsunami zones.
