Hot Nuclear Fusion – Was Successfully Demonstrated in 1965…

For anyone that read the Gary Vassilatos book which I sent the link round to a few days ago (see here), you will have come across the final chapter, which mentions Philo T.

Farnsworth – who invented electronic television. As part of this, he developed several novel vacuum/electron tube designs. In this research, he observed energetic phenomena (little star-like glows) within one of his tubes. He eventually developed this into a device which could host a sustained (and likely over- unity) hot-fusion reaction. He was of course, then, attacked and ridiculed and his patents for the device described as “worthless” by the owning company – ITT. However, they refused to sell the rights back to him when ITT shutdown his “Fusor” research project.

Interestingly (and partly why I am posting this message) his research ended up at Brigham Young University in 1969. This is the same place that Stephen E Jones worked for, of course (see www.youtube.com/watc… and www.youtube.com/watc… )
