FYI From: Lloyd Pye Updates [mailto:lloyd@lloydpye.com] Sent: 19 August 2010 04:00To: ad.johnson@ntlworld….Subject: Good news, lucky breaks, and a poison pill   The good news is that the 10-minute Starchild video posted 10 days ago now has nearly 110,000 views! That’s 11,000 per day! I could be wrong, but I think that’s as close to viral as it gets in the world of alternative knowledge. It’s certainly the most immediate and widespread reaction for anything relating to the Starchild. For those who missed it, here’s another chance to view it.   www.youtube.com/watc…   The lucky breaks are twofold. First, the video’s popularity helped us finally get a few nibbles on our investment deal. A couple of well-connected deal makers are trying to help us find the kind of person we need. I have not been this confident and hopeful since we lined up the gentleman who had the stroke. When the full story of the Starchild’s ups and downs is finally told, that will be one of the very lowest downs. It hammered me almost flat.   The other lucky break is that a trio of credentialed scientists have contacted me to say they are behind what we’re trying to do with the Starchild, and they will be willing to help in any way they can once the process is underway. Two are geneticists and one is a microbiologist. I’m sure more will offer support.   Naturally, several other scientists have contacted me in outrage, demanding to know who our geneticist is and what lab he works for. They insist I have no right to make any claims about the Starchild until fully accredited “experts” like themselves examine everything we’ve done to confirm that it is “legitimate,” and THEN we should submit our work for peer review so it can be published in a mainstream journal. Only THEN, they insist, will we have “earned” the right to say anything about what the Starchild Skull might or might not be.   Needless to say, I tell those people in the politest possible way to stick their gripes where the sun don’t shine, pointing out that if we did it their way we’d never get it done. That idiotic peer review policy is why they accomplish so little, and why what they do accomplish is nothing but fractional movement forward, never any giant leaps. Their cringing cowardice in the face of radical new ideas always brings to mind the famous Rupert Sheldrake quote:   Science in its ideology sees itself as doing a fearless exploration of the unknown. Most of the time it is a fearful exploration of the almost known.   Another one that seems relevant comes from Gary Zukov, author of The Dancing Wu Li Masters.   Acceptance without proof is the fundamental characteristic of western religion. Rejection without proof is the fundamental characteristic of western science.     The poison pill in the subject line is that once again I have to open myself up to the scathing criticism I receive every time I have to ask for a bit of financial support. I’m sure you’ve noticed I do it as seldom as possible because I hate so much to deal with the “You’re only in it for the money!” flack that rains down on me every time. It’s like the critics lie in wait for their chance to pounce, as if that somehow will diminish or negate the value of the work I’m doing.   Like everyone, I have to face monthly bills, and some rubber will meet the road for me in September. Beyond that, I think I’ll be in good shape for the duration. The new movement toward potential investors should culminate in September or October at the latest. That’s the momentum I’m feeling right now.   I’m sure you all know these occasional pleas for help allow me to keep moving forward toward the goal we all share. But if helping me will squeeze any of you, please leave it to those who can do so comfortably. They know who they are, and the “donate” button is easy enough to find.
