Thanks for your post Andrew. I really liked your reply, Ben. It’s such a bizarre existence that we lead today; I can have a conversation with like-minded individuals, such as you and fellow group members, about say, chemtrails, 9/11, mind-control, free energy etc. online and it reassures me to know that I am sane (or possibly, corresponding with identically-deranged, peaceful, well-meaning, lunatics); yet, as soon as I leave the house to go to work, I have to ‘flick a switch’ and use a completely different set of rules in order to engage with society at large. Sure, I put out ‘feelers’ and, once in conversation, it’s heartening to discover just how many strangers begin to talk openly about subjects that they might otherwise keep hidden from their contemporaries, for fear of criticism and/or censorship. This suggests to me that increasing numbers do recognise that the ‘second layer’ as you put it, is false, but they just ‘go along to get along’. They instinctively know that to step out of the flock makes them vulnerable to predators.Turning the clock back 7 years, my wife used to have a look at some of the stuff I was looking at (checktheevidence/richplanet/benthejrporter) and thought that I was ‘bonkers’. However, she has gradually come round and she now ‘gets it’ to the point that she will be the one swearing at the TV (bless her) when Cameron or Clegg or the BBC comes on.The analogy that works best for me is when I consider our two boys. One is still young enough (6) to believe that Santa is real, Man is the cause of global climate change and that Neil Armstrong flew to the moon and back again on a firework. He has these beliefs reinforced every day at school. He has to go, it’s the law. The other one (13) knows the truth, watches the news and I discuss the empirical evidence and propaganda with him every day. I don’t think it’s possible to cure most of our present generation/contemporaries of their ingrained beliefs. The only hope is that we teach our children well.
